Here at Guacamayos Shuttle service we try to provide you with the best service at the most affordable price. This post is to clarify any questions in regards to Nicaragua Entry & Exit fees.

As you enter Nicaragua you pay for a tourist card which is worth US$10.00 plus US$2.00 Immigration services and once you leave the exit tax is US$35.00 but lots of the major airlines already include this on your ticket.

If you leave by land there is a $1 municipal fee (if you are at the Costa Rican border), and a $2 exit fee at the window.

Please have this in exact change in dollars or equivalent in lempiras

Please DO NOT try to haggle with the immigration officer, they will penalize us us with a delay of more than 2 hours. Remember if you are penalized, the whole group is. Please take that into consideration

D&D Brewery, Lodge, and Restaurant is located in the Lake Yojoa region of Central Honduras in the rural village of Los Naranjos. We’re within walking distance of Los Naranjos Ecological Park and Bio-Parque Finca Paradise, a private reserve. Also nearby are two large national parks: Cerro-Azul Meambar NP and Santa Barbara Mountain NP.

We usually have anywhere from 4-6 beers on tap produced on site! We also carry a number of imported craft and specialty beers from around the world. How to get to Utila or ***La Ceiba* from Leon? I get asked that question a lot. There are a few ways some more expensive than other. Each has its pros and cons I’ll go thru them in a minute. Before I go thru the list I just want to clear some misconcepciones a lot of tourists have about Honduras. Yes it is a bit more dangerous the Nicaragua, but if you stay in the tourist areas you will be fine. Also take cabs, they are cheap especially in La Ceiba. Remember it is better to Prevent than Lament!

Chicken Bus

It’s cheap, you get to see the countryside but it takes forever and you will have to either overnight in Tegucigalpa or San Pedro Sula.

Coach Bus

You get to see the countryside, less stops and some have A/C and TV. More expensive depending on the quality of the bus and depending on the time you might have to overnight in Tegucigalpa or San Pedro Sula.

Shuttle Bus

Pricier but you get there faster and with less hassles. This is your best option, not only because we provide this service but for the time and hassle that you will save. You also get to see the countryside and you can request photo stops if you see any point of interest. Please request ahead of time as bus cannot stop immediately.

Fly**

Expensive and you won’t save that much time

Getting to La Ceiba

There are many ways of getting here to La Ceiba, the easiest but more expensive option would be to fly down. American, Delta, United, Spirit and TACA fly directly from Miami to San Pedro Sula. From there you would fly a local airline, Sosa, CM, LAHNSA.

If you don’t wish to fly, you can take a direct bus, which is the best option. Hedman Alas has a shuttle to the Bus terminal. Vianna is also a good option. You can take some of the more traditional busses but the are slower, dirty and break down frequently.

We do offer a shuttle service to and from the airport if you have a lot of luggage and a group of 6 or more, this would probably be your best option as we would pick you up and take you to your final destination safely.
